Switchfoot 24:

I want to see miracles

See the world change

Wrestle the angle

For more than a name,

For more than a feeling,

For more than a cause

Spirit take me up in arms with You

Wow...it's been 3 months!

Holy Cow...i just realized that it's been 3 months since i've last updated.  Time sure does fly and fly it does.

Let's see...what's been going on in the last few months???

  • I'm going to China in 2 weeks
  • I found out that i'm going to become a uncle again =) and this time it's a lil' boy
  • I've read 11 books so far this year and just started another 2 this past week, so i'm ahead of my planned 20 books for the year
  • I've really cut down on my poker playing and no longer going to card rooms to play
  • I've been an acting dad by taking my little niece to dance classes and tumbling classes because her parents can't get any time off
  • I've been to Chicago, New York, Jersey, Conn, San Diego, LA and Boise at least once in the last 3 months.
  • It's been a awesome 6 months with KC, and i'm looking forward to even better times ahead =)

What Dreams May Come...

I was just cleaning out my e-mail eariler and came accross this.  I wrote this down as I was reading a book (don't remember which one) back in Sept. that had some really good points.  So...thought i'd share this with ya'll...

do u ever dream big?  ever wonder what happened to that childhood dream u had?
have't u wondered, isn't life more than just this?

- come with dreams and put them in action
- come with goals and make them alive
- come as u are and be inspired with new passions
- come and begin to take on new challenges and risks for the sake of LIFE

Risk for the sake of life is that one that really hits home for me.  I know all to often, i risk too little in hope of protecting and sustaining the life that i have.  But LIFE is all about the experiences and people that we come across that make LIFE worthwhile.

So...put your hand over your heart, feel the beat which says you're alive and LIVE the life you've been given with a spirit of gratitude and passion!

"Life is meant to be lived, not merely survived, take joy in the seconds of life!"

Wanna read???

1. Spiritual Leadership by J. Oswald Sanders:  GREAT BOOK!!!

2. It's All In Your Head by Stephen Pollan: Really good read and makes a lot of great points.  It's all about perspectives!

3. The Secerts Men Keep by Stephen Artherburn: Great book that gets to the heart of WHY men are men and the issues we face from our toughest critics i.e. ourself!

Long Time No Write

Howdy my fellow xangers...it's been a while since i've written on this wonderful site, but I'm back!!!

I've been traveling so much for work lately that it's sooooooooooo nice to be finally back and sleeping in my own bed for a change.  I went to Dallas for the first week in Feb, then Chicago for the second and lastly NJ, CT and New York New York, city of dreams last week!!!  Might i add...NY was AWESOME...except for the $95 parking ticket i got for trying to sneak in 10 minutes on the streets right next to the NYSE.  =(

So...i've decided that this Summer, i will be going to CHINA for a missions trip with GRX.  It's been 10 years since i've been back to Beijing and for some reason, i've always had a soft spot for my fellow beijingniers and wanting to go back to my homeland for the purpose of the gospel.  So there...no more excuses, and no more shoulda, woulda coulda's...i'm going to CHINA thus summer for sure!!!

Have you ICE'd your phone???

Heard this from a friend yesterday and decided to pass it along!

ICE-In Case of Emergency

During an emergency, most rapid response teams will now look at your cell phone and find a ICE number so they will know whom they should contact in the event you are unable to convey the message.

Proper way to ICE:

1. Name should be: ICE- (name) - (relation to you)

Go on now...ICE up your phone!
